This piece is typical of Hara's work both in its subject matter and palette. Kiyoshi Hara has been proclaimed as a Japanese Living National Treasure and his work can be found in numerous museums in Japan including The National Museum of Modern Art in Tokyo, Shimane Art Museum, Ibaraki Ceramic Art Museum, The Museum of Modern Art, Saitama.
