This example is number 22 of 155 examples of that printing and contains 12 original woodcuts by Michael McCurdy. The volume retains its original slipcase. A magnificent edition of Muir's famous work printed by the now departed Yolla Bolly Press . The book was printed in Covelo, California on the 150th anniversary of John Muir's birth. Endpapers are hand made from Mexican bark. The linen covers were handmade by Myung Gin fabrics in Sausalito, California. The book chronicles Muir's 1869 exploration of the flora and fauna of the Sierra Nevada wilderness.
